Does Thermal Paper Roll Length Matter?
Yes. Roll length affects how much paper is available on each roll and also affects the outer diameter of the roll. The roll must fit inside the equipment's paper compartment.

How to Check Thermal Paper Compatibility
Check the Paper Width
Measure the width of your existing thermal paper roll. The most common sizes are 2 1/4" (57mm), 3 1/8" (80mm), and 2 5/16" (58mm).
Check the Roll Diameter
Make sure the outer diameter of the replacement roll fits inside the equipment's paper compartment.
Check the Core Size
The core must fit properly on the printer or terminal's paper holder.

Does a longer thermal paper roll always have a larger diameter?
Generally, a longer roll contains more paper and therefore has a larger outer diameter when the paper width and paper specifications are similar. The maximum roll diameter must still fit the equipment.
Can I use a different thermal paper width if the roll looks similar?
No. Thermal paper width needs to match the equipment's paper path. A roll that is too wide or too narrow may not feed correctly or may not fit the printer or terminal.
